Matt Walter is a native of Huntington County. He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1996. He attended Purdue University for one year before transferring to Taylor University to complete a degree in Mathematics Education. While at Purdue and at Taylor, Mr. Walter participated in all instrumental music ensembles. He has studied trumpet with Keith Whitford, Doug Hofherr, Paul Everett, Bruce Knepper, and Jeff Anderson. He is currently a graduate trumpet student in the Ball State University School of Music. He is a regular performer with the Marion Philharmonic, Kokomo Park Band, Kokomo Symphony, and Bluffton Street Fair Band. E-mail mwalter@huntington.edu |
