Professors provide music ministry around region and world FOR
RELEASE August
8, 2002 Dr. Fulbright also plans to attend the College Music Society’s Annual National Conference in Kansas City from Sept. 26-28, and the National Association of Schools of Music Annual Conference from Nov. 21-23, in New Orleans. Prof. Ben Kendall will travel with the International Crusades, a traveling music ministry, to Norway from Oct. 4-13. He will serve as the worship team’s tenor soloist at the Missionary Crusade. It has also been announced that the vocal soloists for the annual community performance of Handel’s Messiah, will be a full count of HC music faculty. Dr. George Killian, choral education and choir director, will serve as conductor for the Nov. 24 performance at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Huntington. Featured soloists include Prof. Joni Killian singing soprano, Dr. Janice Fulbright singing alto, Prof. Ben Kendall singing tenor, and Prof. John Thompson singing bass. The HC Concert Choir and Orchestra will join with the Community Festival Chorus for the 48th annual presentation of the most beloved of all sacred choral works.
