Visual Art Faculty to present exhibit at Robert E. Wilson Gallery
FOR RELEASE October 22, 2003 An artist reception will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2003, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend. “Stolen Moments” will feature recent works by professors Ken Hopper, Rebecca Coffman and DL Moody. This biannual exhibit allows the Visual Art faculty of Huntington College to present their most recent creative production. Ken Hopper will exhibit graphic design projects that have been created on the computer. Rebecca Coffman will exhibit a new series of teapots, which have been constructed from wheel thrown and altered parts. “The teapot image carries many analogies of form and functional that plays an underlying role in the work, whether the teapot is functional or non-functional,” said Coffman. D.L. Moody will feature a series of photography. “In ‘Stolen Moments,’ the body of my work moves from a series of examined objects, which fit into the greater context of particular ‘stories,’ to a look at detail and how I arrive at meaning in abstraction,” said Moody.
