Bergdall, Custer receive January Peer Award FOR RELEASE January 12, 2005 HUNTINGTON, IN—The Huntington College Peer Award has been passed on to two individuals for the month of January. December’s recipients, Dr. Jerry Smith and Dr. Paul Fetters, passed their awards along to Dr. Chaney Bergdall and Mrs. Sharon Custer, respectively. The Peer Award was created to promote acknowledgement and recognition of the outstanding efforts of faculty and staff members. Smith, professor of physics and chemistry, passed his award along to Bergdall, professor of Bible and Religion. Bergdall is in his 28th year of service at the College.
Fetters, emeritus professor of practical theology, passed his award along to Custer, assistant professor of business, assistant director of EXCEL and assistant to the registrar. Custer has served the institution for 31 years. Bergdall and Custer will pass the award to two new recipients from another department during the month of February.
