Huntington University handbell class to play in festival FOR RELEASE October 17, 2006 HUNTINGTON, IN—The Huntington University handbell class will participate in the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers Area V Fall Festival Conference held at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Oct. 20-21. The class will be part of a group of 456 ringers from a five-state area who have prepared six repertoire pieces which will be coached by a guest conductor/clinician during several rehearsals throughout the weekend. Workshop classes in various aspects of bell ringing also will be attended. The weekend will culminate with a mass ring concert at the end of Saturday’s activities that is open to the public. Various divisions of the groups will begin ringing their repertoire at 5 p.m. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
