Huntington
announces student art exhibit winners
FOR RELEASE April 16, 2008
HUNTINGTON, IN—Huntington
University recently announced the winners of the 18th Annual Juried Student
Art Exhibit to be held until April 23 in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery of the
Merillat Centre for the Arts.
Suzanne Galazka, gallery
assistant and education director for Artlink in Fort Wayne, Ind., served as
guest juror.
Galazka selected the work for
the student art exhibit as well as award best of show, first place, second
place, third place and special achievement recognitions.
The pieces for the exhibit
were created by Huntington University students, freshmen through seniors,
who are enrolled in one or more art courses. This was the first exhibition
for the work. All types of media were represented.
An artist reception and awards ceremony was held
on April 12 in the Wilson Gallery. The following students received
