Dowden to present 'Faith, Family and Medicine' FOR RELEASE September 19, 2008 HUNTINGTON, IN—Dr. Beau Dowden, a 1998 Huntington University alumnus, will give a presentation titled “Faith, Family and Medicine: Thoughts from a Family Physician” at 4 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Hiner Hall of the Science Hall at Huntington University. The seminar is part of a series titled “Christians Making a Difference in the Sciences” and is free and open to the public. Dowden, son of Huntington University President G. Blair Dowden, is a family medicine physician in Fort Gratiot, Mich., and serves on staff at the Port Huron Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Port Huron. After graduating from Huntington with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1998, he completed his medical education at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2003 and fulfilled his residency requirement in South Bend, Ind. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
