Huntington University Chamber Trio to perform recital FOR RELEASE February 3, 2009 Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Chamber Trio will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the Longaker Recital Hall of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. The trio will feature Elizabeth Smith, violin; Marlene Schleiffer, oboe; and Steven Bergdall, keyboard, with special guest Jeremiah Sherlock on the bassoon. The trio will present a wide-ranging program with works by Corelli, Handel, Bach, Ibert and Debussy. Also included are the “Sonatina for Horn and Piano” by Steven Bergdall and a brand-new improvisatory jazz piece by this talented young composer and versatile pianist. The recital is open to the public, and admission is free.
