Digital media arts program presents awards

FOR RELEASE May 15, 2009

Huntington, Ind.—Huntington University’s digital media arts program hosted its Spring Showcase on May 13.

This event is a screening of student productions. All digital media arts students in animation and live action had the option to submit work to be featured. Students’ work was divided up into categories including animation, live action and senior projects. Once those projects were shown, awards were announced followed by a special raw and unplugged segment.

Winners include the following:

Josh Addessi, a junior from Canton, Ohio, honorable mention in the 3D Environment Category

Ryan Barger, a junior from Warsaw, Ind., Technical Director of the Year

Ryan Bernard, a senior from Fairborn, Ohio, Outstanding Music Video for “Boom Whacker”

Noah Blackwell, a junior from O'Fallon, Mo., honorable mention in 2D Computer Animation Category for “Edward Blake”

Alicia Bonham, a senior from Upland, Ind., Outstanding Music Video for “After Hours”

Jimi Bonogofsky, a junior from Montgomery Creek, Calif., honorable mention in the 3D Environment Category, recognized for 3D Illustration: Independent Study for “Circus,” Junior Best Animation Project for “I Think I Might Be”

Joel Bullis, a sophomore from Bel Air, Md., honorable mention in the Stop-Motion Animation Category for “Hoverboard”

Ben Doege, a sophomore from Columbia City, Ind., honorable mention in the Stop-Motion Animation Category for “Animator”
