Monsma to address 2008 presidential election issues

HUNTINGTON, IN—Steve Monsma will give the Walter and Georgiana Ball Lecture as part of Huntington University’s Forester Lecture Series at 7 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. His presentation will address issues in the 2008 presidential election.

Steve Monsma is professor emeritus in political science at Pepperdine University and senior research fellow at the Henry Institute at Calvin College. He served in the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate, and has written numerous books on the relationship between faith and public policy. His recent book, “Healing for a Broken World: Christian Perspectives on Public Policy,” received praise from Charles Colson, Ronald Sider and many other Christian leaders.

Each semester, Huntington University presents the Forester Lecture Series. The lectures are designed to bring interesting persons and topics to the attention of students and the regional community. All lectures are held in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University. The lectures are open to the public free of charge.
