The #24 Huntington
women’s basketball team escaped Bockwitz Court with a 63-52 win Wednesday night
to pick up their second victory over the Cougars this season.
Ed Farris from Purdue University’s Extension Office, and a local panel of agriculture experts will be at the Feb. 12 Foundation Breakfast to give an update on new technologies and innovative ideas for modern farming operations. They will talk about the challenges farmers face as they apply some of these methods to feed a growing population.

2013 members of the Dean’s List and among the list of honorees included 15
members of the Forester track and field program.

basketball team (18-5, 8-3) dominated Spring Arbor University (10-13, 5-6), handing
the Cougars a 79-66 loss Tuesday night at Platt Arena.
This fall, Dr. Jack Heller, assistant professor of English at Huntington University, began Shakespeare at Pendleton, a program at the correctional facility in Madison County, Indiana, to guide the inmates through the study and performance of Shakespeare.

Throughout the week, students and community members will have the opportunity to get involved through several volunteer opportunities as well as hear how Huntington community members are serving.

basketball team Saturday afternoon at the Physical Education Center.
Seven members of Baker Hall beat the Guinness World Record for consecutive games of Four Square by playing the game for 31 consecutive hours. The old record was 29 hours straight, set by Argentinian college students in 2009.

The ninth annual Huntington University High School Art Exhibit will be held in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery on campus from Feb. 6 to 22. This juried invitational exhibit will feature 100 different works of art from regional high school students.

Huntington University has rescheduled Jim O’Donnell’s annual state-of-the-economy forecast for Monday, Feb. 3. The program will still be offered as a Foundation Breakfast with breakfast being served at 7:45 a.m. and the program beginning at 8 a.m.

Huntington University is seeking comments from the public about the University in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The University will host a visit March 24-26, 2014, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Huntington University has been accredited by the Commission since 1961. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.
Huntington University’s youth ministry leadership graduate program will host an adolescent development seminar at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress, Klein, Texas, on Feb. 5. The No. 5 Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan University (14-3, 4-1) lived up to their reputation as the nation’s top defenders by limiting the No. 22 Forester women’s basketball team to 50 points, their second lowest output of the season, on the way to a 66-50 victory Wednesday night at Luckey Arena.
DeLois McKinley-Eldridge, a civil rights activist who participated in the 1963 demonstrations for desegregation, will speak at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day service at Huntington University. The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 20 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. The public is encouraged to attend.
U.S. News and World Report named Huntington University one of the top colleges in the country for online bachelor’s degree programs. In results released today, Huntington was the top Christian college in Indiana and was third among all Indiana schools.
