First HU Questa Scholars graduate

2013 Forester Night recognizes students, faculty
The 42nd annual Huntington University Forester Night celebrated the accomplishments of students from across campus, as well as the recognition of the Foresters of the Year, the 2013 Outstanding Scholar Award, the Impact Initiative Scholarship and the Professor of the Year. The event was held May 7.

Dr. Carrie Lloyd, assistant professor of psychology, published a paper in the journal, First Language, on parent-child interactions. She also participated at a SENCER teaching conference at Santa Clara University in California as well as a CCCU teaching conference at Indiana Wesleyan University. Last May, she took several of her students to a research conference at Butler University where they presented their research.

Dr. Del Doughty, professor of English; Mrs. Shelly Francka, director of the EXCEL Adult Degree Program; Dr. Ann McPherren, senior vice president for strategy and graduate/adult programs; Dr. Steve Holtrop, dean of graduate/adult programs and academic effectiveness; Dr. Norris Friesen, senior vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty; Dr. Jeff Lehman, professor of computer science; Dr. Cindy Steury, professor of education; and Dr. Tanner Babb, instructor of psychology, attended the Higher Learning Commission’s annual meeting this March 31 in Chicago. Each presented on areas of higher education.
