The philosophy department at Huntington University engages in examining the basic assumptions on which all our knowledge and beliefs are built and in seeing how the world fits together. Students are trained to think deeply and critically for a variety of different fields.

Philosophy is outstanding as a pre-professional major for students planning on graduate study in law or theology. It also provides intellectual training for any field of study.

2013 Forester Night recognizes students, faculty

The 42nd annual Huntington University Forester Night celebrated the accomplishments of students from across campus, as well as the recognition of the Foresters of the Year, the 2013 Outstanding Scholar Award, the Impact Initiative Scholarship and the Professor of the Year. The event was held May 7.

Dr. Hasker wrote a book

Dr. William Hasker, emeritus professor of philosophy, has written a new book titled, “Metaphysics and the Tri-Personal God.” His book contains an analysis of the doctrine surrounding the Trinity from a philosophical and theological standpoint.
