Connie Updike

Professor Connie Updike earned her B.S. from Manchester College in Physical Education, Health, and Recreation, M.S. in Secondary Education with a Physical Education, Health and Recreation endorsement from Indiana University and has completed post graduate work in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University. Professor Updike has taught and coached in both the public school and college levels and has been a community recreation director, camp counselor, intramural director, scout leader, community agency volunteer , and has taught community recreation classes. In 2007, she was named the Recreation Professional/Leisure Educator of the Year by the Indiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (IAHPERD). She also received the Recreation/Leisure Professional Award for the Midwest District from American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) in 2008.
