You can download individual
programs. Each major has it's own section but may have several different
options within it.
Students who are undecided
regarding a particular plan of study can use the GTP either to
explore various programs or to pursue a course of study that will keep
several options open. Students wishing to expand the scope of their studies
[e.g. double majors] can readily determine from the GTP the
feasibility of such plans.
Finally, it is envisioned
that the GTP will prove useful to prospective students and Admissions
counselors, both in sketching typical curricula offered at Huntington
University and in depicting the range of programs and options available.
The GTP is useful in
the understanding and interpretation of the formal requirements outlined in
the Catalog of the University. It provides an easy way to
"see" what a typical course of study involves. The Catalog
remains the official statement of academic information, requirements,
courses, and course descriptions.
Please keep in mind that the
programs outlined in the GTP are not intended to prescribe an exact
schedule of study for each area, but rather to illustrate what a typical
program looks like for each major. It would be surprising if any student's
actual course of study turned out to be identical with any GTP shown
below.
This edition of the Guide
to Typical Programs is presented with the anticipation that it will
continue to be a useful tool for all those wishing to understand the
curriculum of Huntington University. |
