Dr. Mary E. Ruthi is chair of the Division of History, Social Sciences and Education. She received her B.A in sociology and history from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas, and her M.A and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Assistant Professor of Psychology

Dr. Carrie Lloyd came to the university in 2011 as a professor in the psychology department. Current research interests include parent-child interactions, effects of divorce and interparental conflict, benefits of play versus structured learning for infants and early child development, and parenting practices that prevent psychopathology and maladjustment.
