Karen Hinshaw from Family Centered Services has some young mothers in a mentoring program who would like to have some women close to their age to be a mentor/friend to them.  She says that volunteers do not have to have any experience; they just need to want to be friends with someone who does not have supportive friends and family to encourage them.  If anyone is interested they should contact the Joe Mertz Center.
