Campus Ministries Chapel Schedule

Our all-campus Bible Study for the 2007-08 school year will be The Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ, overseen by Dr Mark Fairchild of Huntington's Bible and Religion Department. Several different instructors will take on the task of presenting this in depth Bible study.  The study will be held on most Fridays at 11:00 AM in the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

Academics

There is a change in the class schedule for Friday, March 14 the Friday before Spring Break.  All classes, beginning at noon, will be moved up one hour.  There will not be a chapel service at 11:00 AM

 

    Classes that normally meet at:

             12:00 PM - meet at 11:00 AM

              1:00 PM - meet at 12:00 noon      

              2:00 PM - meet at 1:00 PM

              3:00 PM - meet at 2:00 PM.

              4:00 PM - meet at 3:00 PM

Support the Jamaica Team!

What: A fund-raiser for the Jamaica Spring-break trip

Where:  Pizza Hut in Huntington

When: March 10 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

How:  Getting a buffet at Pizza Hut.  The Jamaica team gets a dollar for every buffet, and all the tips.

Why:  The Jamaica team will be building two homes for families in Highgate, Jamaica.  We are looking to raise $6,000 to purchase the building materials needed for the project

Global English Connection  a new program at the JMC

Volunteer with refugees in Ft. Wayne.  The Global English Connection at Fellowship Missionary Church needs volunteers for their mission outreach to the Burmese population of Ft. Wayne.  No experience is required, as all volunteers are trained. Take this opportunity to do global mission work close to home, contact the Joe Mertz Center at JMC@huntington.edu.

The Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service is looking for a few good people…

 

Do you have a heart for service?  If so, maybe you should consider a program coordinator position with the Joe Mertz Center.  We are currently looking for four students who have an interest in serving those in need, encouraging the HU community to get involved in volunteerism, and organizing specific programs through the JMC.
