Our all-campus Bible Study for the 2007-08 school year will be The Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ, overseen by Dr Mark Fairchild of Huntington's Bible and Religion Department. Several different instructors will take on the task of presenting this in depth Bible study.  The study will be held on most Fridays at 11:00 AM in the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

Calling all HU students to a career and internship fair at IPFW!  Huntington University students have been invited to attend a Career and Internship Fair at IPFW.  The IPFW Career & Internship Fair is on Wednesday., September 26 from 10 AM-3 PM in the Walb Student Union Ballroom.  A list of employers who are attending is being updated daily on the IPFW  web site at

Ø       Struggling with homesickness, adjusting to college, or depression?  Huntington University provides FREE and CONFIDENTIAL counseling for HU students. The counseling office is located on the upper level of the HUB.  For an appointment, contact Dave Kiningham, ext. 4121 or ext. 4027.

Ø       Free Literature is displayed outside the Student Services Office on the following topics:  Depression, Forgiveness, Struggling with Food, Pornography and other related issues

Parking
Due to the construction of the new residence hall, the admissions visitor parking spaces have been re-located to the Hardy Hall parking lot. These spaces have been reserved for prospective students and families visiting the campus on a daily basis. Please do not park in these spaces at any time during the day or night as many students will arrive during the evening hours for overnight visits. Tickets will be issued to anyone who has not set up a visit through the admissions office. We appreciate your help in keeping these spaces open.

All that HU Jazz
Monday from 4:30 – 5:59 PM
Interested in Jazz?  The HU Jazz Ensemble is seeking to expand as they take flight in a new direction this fall with Prof. Scott Hippensteel.  Plans are under way for a 10-15 piece HU Big Band, however more students are needed on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, drums, and guitar. Casting Call for Short Film
Our group in the film practicum class is currently producing an independent film through the University, and we're looking for talented actors and actresses for the project. The film is a post-modern introspective piece (roughly 10 minutes) examining identity, reality and trust. The narrative follows a film actress who goes through an existential crisis.  I am looking for actors / actresses who would be interested in the following roles. Filming will mostly be on September 22 and 23, with a back up filming date planned for the first week of October.
 
- Female lead (college age).
- Male supporting actor (college age)
- Actor / Actress fluent in ASL (American 
  Sign Language), age requirements are
  flexible
- 1 additional Female role (30's-40's).
- 2-3 additional bit roles (college age).
The casting call is on Saturday, Sept 8 at 2:00 PM.  It will be located in Room 150 of the Merillat Center for the Arts at Huntington University.  The university's address is 2303 College Ave. Huntington, IN 46750.
