Attention All Undergraduate Students

Don’t forget to go on-line and complete your annual Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Survey. Instructions on how to do so are in the e-mail you received this past week from Scott Raymond from the Office of Student Success.  Remember, because your time and thoughts are valuable to us, for completing the survey your name will be placed in a random drawing on November 30, 2008 to win:

1 of 2 $50.00 gift Gas Cards, or

   1 of 6 $25.00 gift Gas Cards

Letting us know what matters to you can influence the campus conversation about how HU can become the place you think it should become. It will take about 20 minutes.

By your participation, HU will be able to determine:

   ·         What you expect from HU.

   ·         How satisfied you are in those areas of expectations.

·         How HU compares, good or bad, to other institutions.

·         How HU can plan strategically and budget effectively.

How HU can adjust academic and student services to provide more where more is needed and less where less is needed.

How your expectations and satisfactions measure against other CCCU institutions.

How HU is doing with academics, residence life, student life, financial aid, gender equity, diversity, spiritual growth, athletics, intramurals, commuters, etc.

Thanks to one and all for helping plan better for tomorrow, next semester and the next ten years!  You matter and your input matters! Your responses will be confidential.

Poverty Simulation

Wednesday, November 12 at 6:00–9:00 PM Huntington University is hosting a poverty simulation in the upper dining hall.  The Poverty Simulation is an interactive exposure to the difficulties of living in poverty.  Students will need to make their mortgage payments, buy groceries, provide child-care, apply for aid and interact with many other “agencies” staffed by local people, all while living within their means.  We will also spend a considerable time debriefing the event and discussing “where do we go from here”.
