Theatre Arts Alumni: Where are they now?

Josh Dawes – English Ed, theatre minor – 2006: Beginning in January 2007, Josh will appear in Sight & Sound Theatres (Lancaster, PA) new musical, "In The Beginning."  He plays a variety of mid-sized roles (angels, demons, a brother, etc.) and in addition serves as the backup for the lead role of Adam and is also the understudy for the roles of Christ and Abel. This means he will play the lead a few nights each week. In 2006, Josh played James in “The Miracle” at Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Amber Patrick – Theatre Performance – 2006: After staring professionally in the "Billy Holiday Story" and performing in "Little Shop of Horrors" and "To Kill a Mockingbird," Amber has moved to Orlando to act at the Holy Land Experience.

Kathy Chilcoat – Theatre Design – 2005: Now working at Disney World. During the 2006 holiday season, she served as the stage manager for the Festival of Lights, in which each night a different celebrity reads the Christmas story with a chorus of 700 singers.

Matt Chilcoat – Theatre Design – 2005: Matt is the shop foreman for PRG Orlando, one of the largest scene shops in Florida.  He makes scenery for Disney, Universal, and a lot of corporate gigs, to mention a few.

Dan Olson – Theatre performance – 2005: Beginning February 2007, Dan will star as Frankenstein’s monster in Universal Studios Japan.  This is a 13 month gig in Japan plus a free trip to LA for mask molding.

Josh Scott – Theatre Design – 2005: Josh is designing stores and displays for Vera Bradley in Ft Wayne, flying all over the country as they move into new markets.  He is also wowing them with his acting abilities as "Elvis Paisley."

Rebekah Ward-Hayes – double major in theatre and educational ministries –- 2000:  Rebekah won a 2006 Jeff Award (that’s Chicago's answer to the Obie in NYC) as Best Actress in a Principal Role for "Skin of Our Teeth."
