History of Theatre Managing Artistic Director 1st Presbyterian Theatre Fort Wayne, IN Thom received his BA in Theater from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and his MA in Theater from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Thom has done doctoral studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has worked with professional theater companies in Las Vegas, Washington D.C., Chicago, Milwaukee, and Boulder, Colorado. At FPT, Thom has directed over 30 plays, adapted and staged a world premiere of a work based on Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve, and co-authored a new adaptation of an obscure Ibsen play, Brand, with Norwegian scholar David Schuler. Currently, Thom is working solo to adapt another Ibsen classic, Ghosts. In addition, he has created summer programs in Creative Dramatics for Children, which use theater games to stimulate physical and mental concentration in the youth. |
