Mary Zellers
Costume Design, Costume Shop Supervisor
Mary has had a passion for
costuming for many years. She has been the Costume Director and Costume Shop
Manager for the past 7 years at the Wabash Area Community Theater. She has
used her costuming skills as a custom seamstress for over 38 years, and has
also been Costume Director for many productions at the grade school and high
school levels. .
In 2004, Mary received publication and presented a research exhibit at the
30th Annual Meeting and National Symposium in Houston, TX, for the Costume
Society of America, entitled Analysis of Fabrics from Costumes to be
Featured in Annie Get Your Gun.
Some of her favorite creations are the Y-Gal mascot for Wabash County YMCA,
an original gown designed for the Wabash Historical Museum's Mary Todd
Lincoln portrayal, and her original design of the dreamcoat used in WACT's
performance of Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat.
Mary graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, IN, in 2006
