| Rev. John O. Trovinger, son of Christopher and Jane Trovinger,
was born July 12, 1854, and died at Thurston, Ohio, December 16, 1918, aged sixty-four
years, five months and four days. He was united in marriage to Catharine Bateson, who
lived only a few years. To this union two childrenone son and one daughterwere
born. On April 4, 1889, he was married to Mary C. Keller and for about thirty years they
shared the joys and sorrows of a minister's life. Early in life he united with the
Methodist Episcopal church, but after some years he became a minister in the United
Brethren church and for about twenty-five years gave the prime of his life in unselfish
service to his Master in preaching; the gospel. About five years ago he retired from the
active work but was never satisfied with this relation. He leaves to mourn their loss: a
wife, one son, one daughter, two sisters and other relatives and friends. The funeral was
conducted by the writer.

Hiram W. Eidenier, son of Benjamin and Eliza Eidenier, was born in Columbiana county Ohio, January 1, 1850, and died at Hillsdale, Michigan, February 18, 1919, aged sixty-nine years, one month and eighteen days. Near the close of the Civil War, although quite young he enlisted, in Company F., One Hundred Sixty-first Ohio infantry. On December 5, 1870, he was united in marriage to Sarah J. McFate of Lisbon, Ohio. To this union were born five children: Winfield H., who died when three years of age; Charles M., Mrs. Lillian Stuck, Mrs. Blanche Allegar, and Mrs. Dora Austin, all of Hillsdale county, Michigan. Three years after his marriage he removed with his family from Ohio to Hillsdale county, Michigan, and by persevering toil developed from the original forest the beautiful farm in Amboy township. In the fall of 1917 on account of failing health he with his wife removed to the city of Hillsdale having purchased a home on West Wood street. Besides his immediate family of wife, four children, fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, he leaves to mourn their loss two sistersMrs. Sarah Stull and Mrs. Margaret Allison, both living in eastern Ohio. He was a most kind and attentive husband and father and a wise counselor. He will long be remembered by his family and his many friends. The funeral services were held in the Otterbein church of Ransom township conducted by the writer. Burial in the Burt cemetery. A. E. MOOR. Alice Clark, eldest daughter of Fred and Anice Clark, was born July 16, 1886, near Waldron, Michigan, and departed this life February 7, 1919, at her late home near Jackson, Michigan, at the age of thirty-two years, five months and twenty-one days. She was united in marriage February, 1913, to Glen Hubbard and to this union were born two children. The end came very suddenly. She was a victim of the influenza and it was a great shock to her friends and relatives. She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, two little boys, father, mother, three brothers, one sister and many relatives and friends. There was an open air service in Floral cemetery just south of Pioneer, Ohio, which was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. WM. MASTERS. Mary Taylor (nee Clemmens) was born in Kentucky February 2, 1837, and departed this life at her home in Lima, Ohio, February 8, 1919, aged eighty-two years and six days. She was united in marriage with George Taylor November 11, 1858. To this union were born seven children three of whom with her companion preceded her to the spirit world. She was converted and joined the United Brethren church and was a member at Monticello, Ohio, for a nuumber of years, always held in high esteem by her classmates. She was very reserved, patient and kind which won her think of her devotion and sacrifice. Her work is done and we believe she is now at rest. She leaves two sons, two daughters, eighteen grandchildren thirteen great-grand-children, two brothers, one sister and other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The funeral was conducted by the writer at the home. Interment in the Hance cemetery. J. M. SHERER. Uriah Carver was born in Bertie township, Willand county, Ontario, in the year 1841, and died February 22, 1919, from cancer, being confined to his bed but a few days. He married Sophia Sherk and reared a large family. Mr. Carver has gone the way of all flesh and leaves a loving wife and sons and daughters as follows: Benjamin, Delbert, Abraham, Thomas, Herbert, William, Mrs. Jacob Stein of Bridgeburg, Alice and Katie at home. The funeral was held at the house by Rev. Girvin Bearss followed by a service at the Tunker church by the writer. Burial in the Tunker cemetery. E. PITMAN. David Foster Mabery was born in Sumner county, Tennessee, June 13, 1893, and departed this life at their home in Monroe, Michigan, Sunday, February 16, 1919, aged twenty-five years, eight months and three days. Sarah Francis Mabery, his wife, was born in LaSalle township, September 20, 1895, and also departed this life at their home in Monroe, Michigan, February 18, 1919, aged twenty-three years, four months and twenty-eight days. They were united in marriage June 16, 1917, at Milan, Michigan. To this union was born one childAlden Foster, aged eleven months, who is left to mourn the departure of his parents. Besides the child, David leaves to mourn: his father, mother, three sisters and two brothers. And Sarah leaves to mourn father, mother, three sisters, and one brother besides a host of relatives and friends. Thus we are passing down the valley one by one. The funeral was conducted by the writer at the LaSalle United Brethren church and burial at the Monroe cemetery. H. V. CLARK. John Franklin Strieby, youngest son of John and Delilah Strieby, was born near Syracuse, Indiana, August 4, 1877, and departed this life March 7, 1919, aged forty-one years, seven months and two days. On February 4, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Belle Long. To this union was born one daughter. Besides the grief stricken wife and daughter, Mosciline, he leaves to mourn their loss, two sisters, one brother, three nieces, four nephews and numerous other relatives and friends who feel a great loss in his death. May God comfort the sorrowing hearts and they find a sweet refuge in him. The funeral was conducted by the writer at the Zion United Brethren church in the presence of a large concourse of people. Interment in the Strieby cemetery. FRED R. WILD. Marintha Jane Ford, daughter of Justus and Rebecca Kelly, was born in Carroll county, Ohio, May 26, 1848, and died at her late home in Geneva, Indiana, February 9, 1919, aged seventy-nine years, eight months and thirteen days. On May 2, 1869, she was married to George W. Ford of near Geneva, Indiana. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. One son preceded his mother in death September 30, 1918. She was converted in the old Macklin church in 1862, since which time she remained true to her Lord to the end. She was a member of the Liberal United Brethren church at Geneva. Her home was always open to preachers and she took great care to provide every comfort for them. The writer has enjoyed the hospitality of her home many a time; as did also his father forty years ago. Aunt Jane always had a smile for everybody and she always took great pleasure in helping others. She will be missed by all who know her. She lived a long, happy and useful life in the Lord's service, and when the end came, all was peace but yet she lives and we shall see her after while in glory. She leaves an aged companion, one daughter, two sons twelve grandchildren and many other relatives and friends to mourn. Her son Frank is an active member of the United Brethren church at Apple Grove. The funeral services were held by the writer in the Liberal United Brethren church at Geneva, Indiana. Interment in the cemetery east of town. W. H. KINDELL. July Jennettie Carlisle was born November 14, 1897, and died in Worstville, Paulding county, Ohio, March 8, 1919, aged twenty-one years, three months and twenty-one days. She was the daughter of Charlie and Catharine Hamilton. She was married to Pern A. Carlisle November 1, 1916. To this union was born one child. In her death she leaves a husband and child, a father two sisters, two brothers and many other friends and relatives to mourn. The funeral was conducted by the writer at the late home. Interment at the Delie's cemetery ... THOMAS WEYER. Walter M. Espich was born in the vicinity of College Corners, near Zanesville, Wells county, Indiana, October 17, 1882, and died at his home in Zanesville, Indiana, March 1, 1919, aged thirty-six years, four months and eleven days. He was known to be a loving husband and a kind father. He leaves to mourn: a noble Christian wife, three sons, two daughters, an aged mother, six brothers, one sister, and a host of friends, as he had proved himself to be an honest, kind, upright business man in the village of Zanesville, Indiana.
