William Gibson

In this place, on the 30th ult. of Dropsy of the brain, William, infant son of Doctor T. H. Gibson, aged 10 months.

Margaret Burton

On the 1st instant, of Consumption, Mrs. Margaret Burton, wife of the Rev. William Burton, aged, 32 years. The deceased bore her protracted illness of ten months, with the firmness, patience and resignation which characterizes the Christian. Her anticipations of future felicity, towards the close of her life, were extremely, vivid, and in conversation with a friend, on the joys of Heaven she repeated with great animation,

"There sits my Saviour cloth'd with love,

And there my smiling God"

A few hours before her departure, some of the ladies who were in attendance, observed, as the clock struck 12, that it was a new year!—She responded "and a glorious new year for me."—Her husband inquired of her if she meant Upon Earth. "Oh no," said she "you know what I mean!" Intimating that it was the commencement of those years of joy unspeakable and full of glory, which are reserved for all those that love the Lord Jesus Christ. She has left a husband, two interesting children, and a numerous train of relations and friends to mourn her untimely exit.
