George Washington Ensley

GEORGE WASHINGTON ENSLEY was born in Bedford County, Pa., March 19th. 1813, and died at his residence, near Dayton, Ohio, Sept. 3d 1868, aged 66 years, 5 months, and 14 days. Though an honest man, kind and generous as a husband, father, neighbor, and citizen, he did not unite with the Church until a comparatively recent period, Aug. 4th, 1861. By his pious life, and contributions during these years, he showed himself to be a true friend of the Church, and a faithful stewart of God. He leaves a wife, one daughter, mother, and many other dear relatives and friends, to mourn their loss, but, blessed be God, not without hope. They expect to hail him on the other shore. His remains were interred in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. Ohio. A good man in Israel has fallen. The Church has sustained a heavy loss in his removal; but we bow in humble submission to Him whose right it is to give and take away.
