Screwtape Re-Wired | September 9 | Studio Theatre
Screwtape Re-Wired is an exciting and contemporary re-telling of C.S. Lewis’ compelling novel, The Screwtape Letters. Visit with Wormwood and his protégé Dismal as they struggle with spiritual warfare set imaginatively within a Steam Punk hell. Much like the original source, the play is satirical, humorous and thought-provoking, but unlike the original, this version has songs and sword-fights! This freshly reimagined adaptation is brought to the stage by special guests, HU theatre alumni Alicia Bonham ‘11 and her collaborative partner, Tim Stanlake. In 1927, Ruby, a teenage Indiana farm girl, struggles to turn her ambitious dream of inventing the first all-electrical television into a reality. In 1952, a New York City television production team battles over how Ruby’s story ultimately should be told. Idealism is tested and Ruby’s history risks dissolving into brokered compromises. Set among two time periods, this absorbing play captures America’s fascination with the genius of invention.

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University sophomore Christiana Hicks was named the Crossroads League Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for the week of February 9 based on her performance at the Joe Bank Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University over the weekend. .
