HUNTINGTON, Ind. — The Front Line Foresters have been at the forefront this year for Huntington University by representing the student body to alumni, family and friends of university. With the success of the program in 2012-13, the university has hired 10 student ambassadors to continue the mission into the next school year.

Those students are senior Kyle Geiss, senior Stephanie Morin, junior Becca Perhai, senior James Parker, junior Antonio Castillo, senior Jake Essig, junior Brian Menzie, junior Stephanie Yoder, junior Breanna Amico and senior Emily Yarman.

The students will serve by hosting Foundation Breakfasts, participating in Prayer Ministry luncheons, hosting Homecoming & Family Weekend events, welcoming the Board of Trustees to meetings, and showing appreciation to donors with thank you calls and letters.

The goal is to have these Front Line Foresters grow in character through interactions with various professionals as they fulfill their duties as student ambassadors. They will develop leadership skills, gratitude and interpersonal skills as well as gain a basic knowledge of philanthropy and the workings of the Advancement Office at HU.

“The success of this program has certainly exceeded our expectations. These outstanding young men and women have ignited the advancement office and significantly impacted our efforts,” said Vince Haupert, vice president for advancement. “We are looking forward to another great group of students to represent our mission to our financial partners.”
