In a nonconference match-up against Aquinas College, the Forester baseball team came away with two road wins, 11-1, 7-4. The sweep moves HU to an overall record of 17-17.

Xyan Adkisson hurled a gem in the 11-1 victory in the opener, giving up only four hits while striking out five. The Saints only run came in the sixth inning after HU already commanded a 10-0 lead. Huntington scored their first three runs in the third and followed up with five more in the fifth highlighted by a two-run homer by Travis Frantz down the right field line. HU added two more insurance runs in the sixth on Eric Harpring's RBI-double and pushed across one more in the seventh as the Foresters cruised to the easy win.

The Foresters pounded out sixteen hits and were led by Andrew Drummond who went a perfect 4-for-4. Harpring finished with two hits and three RBI.

In game two both teams swung the bat well but it was the Foresters who were more efficient in producing runs. Both teams scored a run in their first at-bats. Aquinas jumped ahead 3-1 after the second inning but the Foresters quickly responded by matching those runs in the third to tie things back up at 3-3. HU took the lead in the fourth and never looked back as they plated another run in the fifth before Aquinas got one back in the bottom of the sixth. The Foresters added two more insurance in the seventh to close out the scoring.

Cody Walters picked up the win for HU allowing three runs, two earned, on nine hits and one walk while striking out two in 4 1/3 innings of work. Ty Mills took over the finally 2 2/3 innings to register the save. Drummond continued to swing the bat well, pacing the Foresters with three hits and an RBI.
