The Foresters (11-5, 2-2) returned to the friendly confines of the Merillat Complex on Saturday afternoon to take on the Maple Leafs of Goshen College (8-11, 0-5) and walked away with a 78-63 victory.

After jumping out to an 8-4 lead just three and a half minutes into the contest, HU’s offense then disappeared for the next eight minutes allowing Goshen to take a 16-15 lead at the 8:11 mark. Sarah Miller got the Foresters back on track by knocking down a three to spur on a scoring rampage in which the Foresters shot a sizzling 75% from the field on 12-for-16 shooting. HU closed out the half with a 27-16 run to take a 43-32 lead into the locker room.

Plagued by four turnovers to begin the second half, the Foresters let Goshen get right back in the game as HU's lead dwindled to five. The Foresters kept their composure and pushed the lead back to ten, 50-40, at the 13:50 mark but the Maple Leafs battled back behind solid shooting to trim HU's lead to 52-47 just four minutes later.

Coach Culler called a timeout to regroup the Foresters and Huntington's post players responded by scoring the Foresters next ten points. Ryleigh Carr then took the last bit of wind out of the Maple Leafs' sails by knocking down a trey to give HU the 65-54 lead with just over five minutes to play. The Foresters went on to outscore Goshen 13-9 in the final five minutes of play to earn the 15-point win.

Jenna Donaldson paced HU with 18 points. Carr sparked the Foresters on both ends as she finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Courtney Beerbower and Lauren Meese finished in double digits with 16 and 10 points respectively. Cassie Greives tossed in a game-high 23 points.
