It was a repeat of last season as the Forester men's basketball team (9-1) enjoyed some holiday turkey and then ended St. Xavier University's perfect season with a 96-76 win over the Cougars (7-1) on Saturday afternoon.

After going back-and-forth through the first eleven minutes of play, Kellen Zawadzki's jumper at the 9:08 mark gave HU the 19-18 lead and put them up for good. With HU on top 30-28 at the 5:07 mark, Bobby Jolliff went to work scoring nine of his 13 first half points to spark the Foresters as the half ended with HU enjoying an 18-point cushion at 51-33.

The Foresters carried the momentum into the second stanza as they continued to clamp down defensively while making the extra pass on offense to find the open man . They enjoyed their largest lead of the game, 84-56, at the six-minute mark. The Cougars outscored HU 20-12 to close out the game but it was too little too late as the Foresters cruised to the 96-76 win.

Zawadzki and Bobby Jolliff paced the Foresters with 21 points apiece while Tyler Shively finished with 17. Caleb Kennedy grabbed a game-high seven boards. Roosevelt Green tossed in 18 points to lead the Cougars. Jake Listebarger and Stan Mayfield came off the bench to score 14 and 11 points respectively. Brad Karp added 11 points to round out St. Xavier's double digit scoring.

The Foresters connected on 36-for-70 from the field for 51.4 percent. They committed only ten turnovers compared to the Cougars' 19.
