HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University
sophomore Jake Nash had a record-breaking weekend at the Taylor University Indoor
Track & Field Invitational. The Lebanon (Ohio) native set a new HU indoor record
in high jump with his first place leap of 6-7 and for his efforts was named this
week’s Crossroads Field Athlete of the Week in addition to being named the Forester
Athlete of the Week.
Along with setting a new Forester record, he also punched his ticket to the
2014 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships slated for March 6-8
in Geneva, Ohio with his 6-7 leap.
Nash went on to claim a second top finish on Saturday in triple jump. His jump of 41-11.75 not only landed him a second gold but
also found its way into the record books as the second farthest leap in program
