Trojans dispose of HU in straight sets

UPLAND, Ind. - It was a quick evening in Upland as powerhouse Taylor University swept HU volleyball in straight sets Wednesday night, 25-9, 25-15, 25-16.

The Trojans doubled up the Foresters statistically in several crucial categories, finished with 48 kills to HU’s 19 and recording 11 team blocks to their visitors’ five.

Of HU’s 19 kills, Heather Medich and Codie Morey teamed up to account from nearly two-thirds, registering seven and five kills respectively. Jensen Carnahan dished out 16 assists while Katie DePew finished with 15 digs.

HU (2-7, 1-3) hits the road again on Friday to take on Grace College at 7:00 p.m.
