Seniors Amy Berry and Jessah Brumbaugh combined for 40 points to help the Foresters (14-9, 6-7) get back in the win column with a 76-63 victory over Spring Arbor University (8-18, 5-9).

The Cougars took an early 4-0 lead, but HU came back with eight unanswered points, including six from Brumbaugh, to jump in front of Spring Arbor. The Cougars kept things interesting through the mid-point of the half as they were within one at 15-14 at the 10:39 mark. The Foresters were finally able to get some breathing room with a 6-0 run that pushed the lead to seven with just over eight minutes to go. HU added another 7-0 run late in the half to take a 34-24 lead to the locker room.

Following the break, the Foresters returned to the floor with a vengeance, nearly doubling the half-time margin over the first four minutes of play. A Brumbaugh jumper at the 15:55 mark gave HU a commanding 48-29 lead. The Foresters continued to pour it on increasing the advantage to as many as 26 points midway through the half. Spring Arbor put together a late run to pull within 11 at 72-61 with two minutes to go, but it was as close as they would get.

Joining Berry (21) and Brumbaugh (19) in double figures for the Foresters was Jenna Donaldson with 11 points. Lauren Davenport dished out eight assists for HU. Kara Buehrer led four Cougars in double digits with 16 points. The Foresters won the battle of the boards 30-29 and shot 52% from the field to Spring Arbor's 46%.
