Huntington, Ind.— Huntington College has been named one of the Great Colleges for the Real World for the third consecutive year. Author Michael Viollt has compiled this book to help incoming freshmen make a college decision based on convenience, quality and cost.
The 201 best colleges were selected from those that respond to current student demand and are known for graduating students that are prepared for the world of work. The listed colleges are each evaluated in five areas:
The overall college experience
Recent market response to the college or university
Opportunity for the general student populations to get into and pay for a college
The relative success of previous classes in graduating in a timely fashion
The commitment made by the school to develop career opportunities
Viollt highlighted Huntington’s new course offering in special education with a license for exceptional needs. He also featured the accelerated degree in organizational management for working adult professionals through the EXCEL program.
Other Indiana schools listed in the book included Butler University, Franklin College, Indiana Institute of Technology, Marian College and the University of Indianapolis. Great Colleges for the Real World is available for $11 (postpaid) from Octameron Associates at www.octameron.com.
