Philosophy grad discusses the benefits he earned from HU
Jonathan Brenneman talks about the benefits of the philosophy program at Huntington University, a Christian college

"I have learned many invaluable skills like how to learn from people I disagree with, how to argue productively, how to analyze situations more accurately, and most importantly, how to be a better human being."

From Jonathan:

"Huntington University was a great place for me to grow, especially intellectually.

"Very soon after coming to campus I realized how nearly everything at this school offered the opportunity to thoughtfully engage. The movies I watched, the dorm room debates at 2 in the morning, the analysis of any topic going on in the world, and the classroom topics challenged me to look deeper into everything and allowed me to see a richness I had never seen before. This initial taste led me toward becoming a philosophy major, which lead to deeper questions and richer perspectives.

"The philosophy professors were always willing to open their offices when I had a question bugging me, or just wanted to talk about a particular issue covered in class, or ones that were not. I am leaving Huntington with an amazing wealth of experiences and knowledge. I have learned many invaluable skills like how to learn from people I disagree with, how to argue productively, how to analyze situations more accurately, and most importantly, how to be a better human being. (In a world where I will probably change careers half a dozen times these skills will always come in handy.)"
