Originally dedicated in 1973, this 1500-seat gymnasium has played host to many championship nights throughout the decades. Whether it is competing in the always challenging Crossroads League or matching up against an NAIA nationally ranked opponent; Huntington University students, faculty, staff, and community are guaranteed to witness some of the elite athletes and programs in the Midwest. The gym plays host to our men’s and women’s basketball teams as well as our volleyball squad, all who have competed multiple times on the national stage.
During the day this facility is used by our Physical Education, Recreation, and Campus Recreation Departments as well as those die hards who like to drop in for their lunchtime basketball session.
In 2012, Platt Arena was named in honor of Forester men’s basketball legend Steve Platt.
