July 18-19, 2017

Four half-day camps highlighting four crucial skills will be led by some of America's best volleyball trainers on the campus of Huntington University this summer. The Shondell Day Camps, in their second year, will bring several highly-respected coaches together to train individual and positional skills.

Volleyball Hall of Fame inductee,
Steve Shondell, led Ball State University to a 119-68 (64-32 MAC) record in six seasons; also winning the 2010 Mid-American Conference regular season title, earning an at-large bid into the 2011 NCAA Tournament and capturing a share of the 2013 MAC West Division title. Prior to Ball State, Shondell racked up almost 1,200 wins with under 100 losses in a high school coaching career that yielded 21 Indiana state championships, four national championships, and several more national runner-up awards. A true serve-receive expert, he will guide campers in the Passing Camp on July 18th.

Huntington University head coach, Kyle Shondell, is now in his third year
at the helm of the Forester volleyball program. In his first two years as the HU skipper, Shondell wasted little time rewriting the record books by guiding the 2015 and 2016 teams to the most overall wins since 2009. Each season, he also recorded the most league wins in program history and claimed the highest regular season conference finish since 2007. An increase in offensive efficiency has aided that turnaround at HU, he - along with Lindsay (Shondell) Morgan, who has led offenses as a Big Ten setter at Purdue and as an assistant at four different Division I institutions - will lead the Attacking Camp on July 18th.

Dave Shondell, head coach of the Purdue University volleyball team (a title he has held for 14 seasons), has led the Boilermakers to 11 NCAA Tournament berths in the last 13 years, including seven Sweet 16 appearances, and Elite Eight appearances in 2010 and 2013. The Big Ten and Mideast Region Coach of the Year in 2011, a lot of Shondell's success was had in the name of defense. He will lead the Defense Camp on July 19th.

John Shondell, associate head coach of the Purdue University volleyball team, is in his 14th season with the Boilermakers. John serves as an integral piece to the training of all positions at Purdue. Prior to his time at Purdue, Shondell spent nine years as head coach of the New Castle High School volleyball program, where his teams ranked among the top 10 in the state each of his last seven years. John is one of the most respected trainers of the setting position in America - he will lead the Setting Camp on July 19th.

This training is open to 6th-12th grade boys and girls.
