Celebrating its inaugural season in 2012, the Huntington University Bowling program is prepped to build a winning tradition. The Foresters are blazing the trail as just over 30 NAIA schools around the country boast a bowling program.
It’s an exciting time to be a Forester bowler. Not only will you be challenged athletically, you’ll also grow academically and in your faith. The season spans from October to March and is considered an emerging sport by the National Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NAIA).
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - College bowling’s post-season play was in full swing this past weekend with four sectional tournaments held around the country to determine the 16 teams to compete for the Helmer Cup in Lincoln, NE.
Both Forester teams were in action at the Smyrna (TN) site but were not able to finish high enough to move on to the Intercollegiate Championship tournament. The tournament format was a grueling 64 baker games bowled over two days on a very demanding shot.
