The Indiana House Democratic Interns are paid $700 biweekly and have the ability to earn academic credit for completing the internship. Following are a few details:

  • the internship is a full-time job, typically work 7.5 hours daily M-F
  • some days will run later than 4:30 PM, no overtime pay
  • orientation begins late December or early January
  • internships last through mid-March 2018

Indiana House Republicans offer full-time, paid internships for the Spring semester at the state Capitol, downtown Indianapolis. Interns have the opportunity to work one-on-one with state legislators while seeing firsthand how laws are made &how state government operates. This valuable experience offers unique networking opportunities, which could open the door to a professional career. Interns receive a bi-weekly compensation of $750 with the ability to earn college credit for completing the internship. Free parking is provided. Interns are part of a partisan staff, so please apply for EITHER the Democratic OR Republican program. Interviews may not be scheduled for applicants who apply to both caucuses.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Central Ministries is now accepting applications for their internship program. The three to
nine-month experience is designed for college students to learn more about their field of
interest. Interns will be assigned a direct supervisor that they will work with throughout the
duration of their experience. Internships can be customized to meet college credit
requirements.
HOW WILL INTERNS BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM?
Students that are selected for this internship opportunity will walk away from their experience
with tangible experience to use in their pursuit for positions within their career preference.
They will work directly under an experienced staff member of Central Ministries to learn and
practice the skills required for their field. The intern will have a custom designed experience
to match their strengths with their project assignments. The intern will walk away with an
updated resume, letter of recommendations, and a completed project they can share with
future employers.
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
Each internship position will get the opportunity to learn skills in their desired role.
The interns will have specific projects they are responsible to oversee, including an original
project they will create and execute. The interns will receive training and opportunities to
practice specific skills required in their future ministry.
Who can apply: College students majoring in a related field.
Internship Duration: 3 to 9 months
Pay: Limited stipend and/or housing (dependent on need, hours, position and availability)
Weekly Hours Expected: 10-40 hours. A minimum of 2 weekly meetings
