Best Non-Western Essay Contest Spring Colloquium

Research in the Centre for Non-Western Studies (CNWS) comprises primarily of scholars working in aspects of Asian, African, Middle Eastern, Atlantic, and Caribbean worlds, as well as scholars of European empires. The CNWS research events are designed to allow invited scholars, resident academics, and students to engage in active discussions about powerful historical and contemporary issues.

The 2016 essay winner for the Centre for Non-Western Studies, Jeniece Regan (Biology, ’18), will present her paper, followed by Ben Blackwell of Houston Baptist University, who will respond to Regan’s essay.
