Kelsey (Kruse) Herber enters her 2nd year of coaching under Kyle Shondell as the program’s first ever graduate assistant coach. Herber assists in recruiting, training, and spiritual development. A 2016 HU graduate, Herber is no stranger to the program having spent four years as an outside hitter on the Forester volleyball team which included earning an All-Conference Honorable Mention badge in her final year.
On top of her playing career, Herber has spent the past two years coaching for Empowered Volleyball Academy in Fort Wayne in addition to working several volleyball camps and spending multiple seasons assisting the girls’ basketball program at Lakewood Park Christian School.
Herber is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Huntington University in addition to working part-time in the admissions office. She is married to HU alum Zach Herber ('17).
