Assistant Men's Golf Coach

Rafael Colon enters his second year as an assistant coach for the HU men’s golf program. Colon’s passion for the Gospel is evident and as such his primary responsibility will be to provide spiritual discipleship and guidance to the players by way of mentoring, Bible studies and building team and individual accountability.

“Rafael's extensive background in spiritual formation, education and sports will serve the men's golf team in many positive ways,” noted HU head coach Rick Sholund. “The players will see and be impacted by his passion for the Gospel. I am thrilled that he has decided to join our program.”

Colon holds a BS in Elementary Education and MD in Curriculum Development and Design. He is currently a Reading Resource Teacher with Fort Wayne Community Schools. He and his wife Rikki have three kids Julian, Amelia and Olivia.
