Dr. Rebekah (Becky) Benjamin joined the faculty at Huntington University in 2015. Prior to teaching at HU, she served as assistant professor at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Benjamin earned her A.B. in English and her teacher licensure through Indiana Wesleyan University. After teaching high school English for several years she went on to earn her M.A. and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at The University of Georgia, specializing in applied cognition and development. Her research interests and areas of specialization include reading development, text difficulty, college student success and performance, and the teaching of psychology. Dr. Benjamin is also interested in the intersections of psychology, theology, and philosophy. Dr. Benjamin lives in Huntington with her husband and children. She enjoys spending time with her family, church, and friends. She also takes time for reading, taking walks, making pizza, making lists, and gardening.
