Men's Tennis Assistant Coach

Shawn Huck enters his second year as an assistant coach for the Forester men’s tennis program. Huck joined the HU coaching ranks last spring and brought a wealth of experience to the position.

Huck is in his 17th year as a Director of Tennis, which includes having spent the last four years at Empowered Sports Club and the previous 13 at Anderson Sports Center. His coaching resume also includes serving as the head men’s tennis coach at Anderson University as well as serving as a CITA Baird Cup Coach and NIN Davis Cup Coach.

Huck also brings playing experience to Coach Eckert’s squad having played at Cedarville College (now University) where he competed at the national level. He graduated from Cedarville with a BS degree in physical education in 1984.

Tennis is a family affair for the Huntertown native as four of his five daughters have played collegiately - three at the D-1 level and one at the NAIA level. Of all his years of tennis, his highlight has been competing with four of his daughters in the USTA National Father & Daughter circuit where they reached a Top 10 national ranking.

Huck and his wife Kristy have five daughters who have given them five grandkids.
