After serving as a sports performance coach at Champions Sports Performance in North Carolina, Tyler returns to his alma mater as the University’s strength and conditioning coach for men’s basketball, women’s basketball and softball for his fourth year back on campus.
Palmer graduated from HU in 2013 with a BS in Exercise Science during which he gained valuable experience as an intern at Fort Wayne’s AWP Sports. The Wabash native was a two-sport athlete at Huntington, a left-handed pitcher for the baseball team for three years and a shooting guard for the basketball team for his final two years.
In addition to the experience Palmer brings to the position, he is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and a USAW Level I performance coach. He is currently pursuing his masters in counseling at Huntington. He and his wife Brianna are expecting their first child in July.
