Kim Ziegel graduated from Michiana College in 2004 and immediately began working at Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC). She has worked for PRMC for over 15 years and has a wide range of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), and she continues to work for Parkview Regional Medical Center to keep abreast of clinical competence in addition to her role at Huntington University. Kim’s experience includes providing occupational therapy care in the specialty areas of neurology (including stroke care and traumatic brain injury), orthopedics, trauma, rehabilitation with pediatrics and adults, acute care, skilled nursing care, and home health care.
Kim’s administrative and leadership experience includes patient registration, human resource skills, billing and documentation, and patient education, which entails teaching patient orthopedic pre-operative classes. Additionally, Kim has mentored new graduate OTAs and has been an active clinical fieldwork educator for OTA students throughout her career.
