ABLE Program Coordinator
Amanda Seaman serves as the ABLE program coordinator at Huntington University. Her role entails providing an inclusive college experience for students with disabilities across campus and encouraging students to learn independence and self-advocation with the support of their peer mentors and other individuals at HU. When she took on the role as coordinator in 2020, the ABLE program was nothing new to her, as she was a peer mentor all four years of earning her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary/special education and middle school math from HU. Prior to returning to her alma mater, she taught at Country Meadow Elementary School as a special education teacher.
Originally from Russiaville, Indiana, Amanda currently resides in Fort Wayne, where she coaches 8th grade volleyball in her spare time.
