Daryl Singleton began serving as the director of multicultural affairs and minority student engagement in 2016.
His position allows Singleton to facilitate relational ministry and discipleship with both North American minorities and International students at HU. He also supervises the Multicultural Activities Council and International Student Council and their programming that engages the campus community.
Singleton himself experienced a journey at a small Christian university that reflects one similar to HU’s minority and International students’ when he obtained his bachelor’s degree at Spring Arbor University. The Detroit native studied social work at SAU before graduating in 2013.
Before coming to HU, Singleton worked as an admissions counselor for two years at his alma mater. He also has served as a youth pastor with Rhema International Church in Detroit, a substance abuse intern with Black Family Development in Detroit and a clinical case manager for the Hope Network in Jackson, Michigan.
