Susanne Watson

Director of Undergraduate Admissions

Susanne Watson joined the Huntington University staff as an admissions counselor in 2013; since then, she has held a number of positions in the Office of Admissions. As the director of admissions, she leads the undergraduate recruitment team, oversees admissions communication, provides recruitment strategy and reporting, and manages daily activities and events. Susanne also serves as the international admissions counselor. In 2011, she graduated from HU with bachelor’s degrees in entrepreneurial small business management and history; she earned her master’s degree in organizational leadership from HU in 2018. Before returning to her alma mater, she spent two years working as an admissions specialist at Harrison College. In 2017, she received the Regional Service Award from the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP). She received NACCAP’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2021.

Susanne is a proud HU graduate. As a student, she was a member of the Student Activities Board and worked in the Office of Admissions and RichLyn Library. Some of her fondest memories come from student events and late nights with the girls who lived on her floor. Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Susanne now lives in Huntington with her husband, Josh, also an HU alum, and their children. When she’s not spending time outdoors gardening or traveling, Susanne enjoys reading and board games, usually with a cup of coffee in hand.
